Business Resource Center

The Business Resource Center (BRC), located on the lower level at Central Library was founded in 1992 with the idea that small business should have access to demographics, business plans, market research information, business start-ups and sales leads. The library subscribes to a number of valuable online database resources, which library customers can use to access articles, statistics and other business information. In addition, the BRC maintains a large number of investment publications in print, such as:
  • ValueLine
  • Morningstar Mutual Funds
  • The Wall Street Journal
  • Investor's Business Daily
  • Barron's
  • The Denver Business Journal
The BRC provides access to common software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The New Job Center of the BRC provides job searching and career resources for the citizens of Aurora including Job Center Kiosks from the Denver Post, electronic resources to search for new businesses and job opportunities across the metro area, online job search classes, and newspapers and other print resources to aid in employment needs.

Interlibrary Loan

This service locates and retrieves books from other libraries around the country. Statewide searches and most nationwide searches are free of charge. Some lending libraries may add extra charges, which are typically $5.00 or more.

An Aurora Public Library card is required to use the Interlibrary Loan service. You can place a request at any reference desk or call 303-739-6618. Because of processing and shipping times, you should plan on at least 3 weeks to receive your requested item(s). Library staff will call when your materials have arrived or if a request cannot be filled. Materials can be collected at your selected Aurora Public Library circulation desk.

The Book Outlet

Operated by The Friends of the Aurora Public Library, The Book Outlet is located at 2243 S. Peoria St., in the Iliff Square plaza at the northwest corner of Iliff and Peoria. Shoppers will find hundreds of books for $1.50 or less and many bargain items on sale. Books for all age levels and specially priced collectible books arrive weekly. Tax-deductible donations of good-quality used books are gratefully accepted at The Book Outlet or at any Aurora Public Library branch.

Business hours are Wednesdays from 10 am-6 pm and Saturdays from 10 am-4 pm.
