| I. | YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES. Under Colorado State Law (CRS 24-90-117) you are responsible for: | |
| A. | Returning borrowed materials on time or paying a fine; | |
| B. | Reimbursing the library for lost or damaged materials. You are financially responsible for all items checked out on your library card. | |
| II. | FINES AND CHARGES. | |
| A. | Most fines are 20 cents/day per item for both adults and juveniles. | |
| B. | The maximum fine for most adult and juvenile materials is $3.00 per item. | |
| C. | There is a two-day grace period for all fines. Materials received after the two-day grace period will be fined from the DUE DATE. | |
| D. | Charges for returned damaged materials will depend upon the extent of the damage. | |
| E. | An additional $10.00 surcharge will be assessed for materials long overdue that have been referred to a collection agency. | |
| III. | SUSPENSION OF LIBRARY PRIVILEGES. Library privileges may be suspended for any one of the following: | |
| A. | A balance of $5.00 or more in fines for materials overdue and not returned. | |
| B. | A balance of $5.00 or more in cost of materials overdue and not returned. | |
| C. | A balance of $5.00 or more in lost or damaged materials charges. | |
| D. | Two or more items not returned and overdue. | |
